John Clifford Gouveia, Sr., 65, of Pahoa, died February 20, 2012 at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 24, 1946, in Honolulu, he was retired from Oahu Transit Services (OTS) maintenance department. Friends may call from 4:30-5 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Patricia R. Gouveia of Pahoa; daughter, Cathy (Woody Paekukui) Gouveia of Honolulu; sons, John C. Gouveia, Jr., Alec Gouveia, both of Pahoa; father, Anthony Gouveia of Kalihi, Oahu; sister, Charlotte (Uoka) Momosea of Honolulu; three granddaughters and two grandsons.
