Lionel Ronald Silva, Sr., 74, of Hilo, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at home. He was born on August 12, 1937 in Pahala, Hawaii. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Teruo Matsumoto, Inc. and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ainaola Ward. Visitation will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday (May 12, 2012) at the Hilo Stake Center, 1373 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo; Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers. Survived by, wife, Doris Silva of Hilo; daughters, Bernadette (Carlos) Navor of Keaau, Tina (Curtis) Wilson of Kona, Tanya (David) Haleamau of Kona and Deanna (Kealoha) Martin of Ocean View; sons, Ashley (Denise) Silva of Keaau and Lyle (Kapua) Silva of Keaau; brothers, Albert (Amy) Silva of Pahala, Bernard (Elizabeth) Silva of Mountain View and Donald (Hope) Silva of Honolulu, Oahu; sister, Loretta (Wilmet) Lorenzo of Pahala; 25 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
