Marcelo “Celo” Q. Jacinto, 78, of Hilo, he passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on January 1, 1934 in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; he worked for Mauna Kea Sugar Plantation and he also was a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church of Christ. He is survived by spouse, Mercedes Duldulao Jacinto of Hilo; daughters, Cherelyn Mamaclay of California, Jeogy (Nestor) Pagtama and Marlene (Mario) Vintero of Keaau, Margie (Jami) Anderson of Wisconsin and Mamelyn (Sonny) Mones of Oregon; sons, Reynaldo (Elvira) Jacinto of Keaau, Roger (Rowena) Jacinto of Hilo and Ramelton (Lily) Jacinto of Kona, Hawaii; brothers, Modesto Jacinto and Isaias Jacinto of Philippines; sister, Proserfina Bueno of Philippines, 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
