Marcelo “Celo” Q. Jacinto, 78, of Hilo, he passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on January 1, 1934 in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; he worked for Mauna Kea Sugar Plantation and he also was a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Church of Christ. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. Friends may call again Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation only from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Casual attire; burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section). He is survived by spouse, Mercedes Duldulao Jacinto of Hilo; daughters, Cherelyn Mamaclay of California, Jeogy (Nestor) Pagtama and Marlene (Mario) Vintero of Keaau, Margie (Jami) Anderson of Wisconsin and Mamelyn (Sonny) Mones of Oregon; sons, Reynaldo (Elvira) Jacinto of Keaau, Roger (Rowena) Jacinto of Hilo and Ramelton (Lily) Jacinto of Kona, Hawaii; brothers, Modesto Jacinto and Isaias Jacinto of Philippines; sister, Proserfina Bueno of Philippines, 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
