Pedro “Pete” Corotan, 82, of Hawi, he passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Kaiser Hospital, Anaheim, CA. He was born on September 9, 1929 in Hoea, Kohala; He worked as a Grounds man for the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and cane truck driver for the Kohala and Papaikou Sugar Plantations. Friends may call Saturday, June 9, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward Chapel; Visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Casual attire; burial at Hawi County Cemetery. He is survived by sons, Alton (Carolee) Corotan of Los Alamitos, California, Clayton (Ann) Corotan and Keoki (Susan) Corotan of Hawi, Stanton (Linda) Corotan of Waikoloa; daughter, Dawnell (Phillips) Ieremia of Laie, Oahu; brother, Erinuo (Evelyn) Corotan of Kaneohe, Oahu; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
