Christopher Michael Landers, 38 of Kamuela, Hawaii died suddenly on July 12, 2012. He was born on November 25, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Dorothy Landers and the late John D. Landers, Jr. He is the youngest of four siblings. Christopher graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and attended University of Hawaii Community College. He was a Certified Nursing Assistant at North Hawaii Community Hospital, a CPR instructor, and an Unexploded Ordinance Technician. He was a member of the National Honor Society (PHI THETA KAPPA) and the Hui Wa'a Waikoloa Canoe Club. Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Kameula for a 12 p.m. funeral service. The family requests aloha attire worn and flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to "North Hawaii Community Hospital Education Department." He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Landers of Kamuela; sister, Kimberly (Martin) Pratt of Kamuela, brothers, John (Stephanie) Landers of Waikoloa, Robert (Melissa) Landers of Kamuela; maternal grandmother, Julia Varlotta of Altoona, PA; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.
