Alice L. Peters, 98, of Laupahoehoe, died July 23, 2012 at Hale Ho’ola Hamakua. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa. Friends may call from 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, Papaaloa; funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Leonard (Yuriko) Peters, Kenneth (Valarie) Peters, both of Laupahoehoe; hanai daughter, Lucille V. Chung of Hilo; daughter-in-law, Jennie Peters of Pekin, Illinois; sister, Virginia Fernandes of New Mexico; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
