Mr. Herbert Pualiialoha Ishibashi, Sr., 81, of Hilo, HI, died at home on Sunday, August 5, 2012. He was born in Honokaa, HI and was a retired electrical contractor and past owner of Aloha State Electric and past Stake President of the Hilo Hawaii Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a Korean War Veteran with the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, on 1373 Kilauea Avenue in Hilo, Hawaii on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Viewing 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Service 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by burial at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2. He is survived by his: Wife, Mona Ishibashi of Hilo, HI; Sons, Pua (Gloria) Ishibashi, Jr. of Hilo, HI and Skylane (Tina) Ishibashi of Hilo, HI; Daughters, Roxie Tubbs of Hilo, HI and Star (Kimo) Alameda of Hilo, HI; Brother, Vida (Anita) Ishibashi of Oahu, HI; Sister, Lorraine Ishibashi of Calif.; 22 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
