Cecelia “Cissy” Ann Fernandez, 69, Kailua-Kona, died July 27, 2012 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu on March 10, 1943, she was a retired waitress at the King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. She was also a waitress at the former Reuben’s and Spindrifter’s restaurants. Friends may call at 8 a.m. August 11 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. funeral service; burial at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome. She is survived by her sons, Vernon (Alexandria) Fernandez of Kailua-Kona, Albert Fernandez of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Denise (Jesse) Wilkins of Denver, CO, Natasha (Craig Leong) Fernandez of Kailua-Kona; sister, Dolores Doonan of Carmichael, CA; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
