Rodney Ricardo Keliikanakaole Pilayo, Sr., 53, passed away Apr. 10 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was the owner of Rod’s Customs, former adult corrections officer for Halawa Security, worked at Sumida’s Auto Body in Kailua, Oahu and was a foster parent for Catholic Charities Hawaii of Hilo. Friends may call 9–10 a.m. Tuesday April 16, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo; funeral mass at 10. Friends may call again 9:30–10:30 a.m. Thursday (April 18, 2013) at St. George Catholic Church in Waimanalo, Oahu; funeral mass at 10:30. Cremation to follow. Casual attire.
