Hannah Roselani Polido

Hannah Roselani Polido, AKA: Hannah Roselani “Mawai” (Nakagawa Kaholoa’a) Polido, 82, of Pahala, she passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 in Pahala; she was born to Solomon and Ruth Kaholoa’a on July 27, 1930 in Waipio Valley. She retired from Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company of Pahala and was also a Volunteer at Ka’u Hospital. She was a dedicated and faithful wife to one, Mother of 14, grandmother of 37 and great-grandmother of 63. Friends may call Friday, April 26, 2013 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; service at 7 p.m. Friends may call at the family residence in Pahala, on Saturday, April 27, 2013; service at 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friends may call again on Sunday, April 28, 2013; service at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the family residence in Pahala. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed; burial at 11:30 AM at the Naalehu Community Cemetery. She is survived by sons, Solomon “Sala” Polido of Hilo, Edward “Kalapo” (Sandra) Polido and Rick (Erika Koi) of Pahala, Ken (Jo Ann) Polido of Kurtistown; daughters, Susan (Antonio “Jr.” Louis) Lebehn of Kona, Madelina “Maggie” (Edward “Sonny”) Martinez, Elizabeth “Choqqie” Polido, Gay (Frank Venneri) and Lorna Kay (Raymond “Bull” Polido-Kalili, III of Pahala; Ruth (William “Bill”) Kahele and Belinda “Yabu” Polido of Hilo, Marilyn (Martin “Marty” Atwood) Polido and Rachel (Dorson “Buddy” Behrendt) Kaholoa’a of Hawaiian Ocean View Estate; 37 grandchildren 63 great-grandchildren; brothers, Solomon “Mona” (Bobbie) Kahola’a of Hilo, William “Yama” (Caroline) Kahola’a of Molokai, Jeremiah (Raina) Kaholoa’a Maui, Freddie (Charlye) Kaholoa’a of Kurtistown and Derwin (Geri) Kaholoa’a of Honokaa; Mary (Harry) Cabrera of Kohala, Eunice Thompson of Alabama and Rachel "Nina" Kaholoa'a of Hilo; Numerous nieces and nephews; Proceeded in death by her husband, Marcelo Polido, and sons, Edmund Polido and Marcelo Polido, Jr. of Pahala.
