Edric “Treva” Spencer Johnson, 70, of Hilo, died April 8, 2012 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born August 27, 1941, in Honolulu, he was a retired concierge at Mauna Lani Resort, past guest activities director at King Kamehemeha’s Kona Beach Hotel, former employee of the Beauty Salon at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, lifelong student of Hawaiian History and former dancer with Halau O Kekuhi. Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Lei are welcome. Survived by sister, Louella Schutte of Waimea; brother, Alan (Darlene) Johnson of Kula, Maui; sisters-in-law, Loretta Spencer of Waipahu, Oahu, Cynthia Spencer of Waimea; hanai brothers, Felward Kahakelii of Pahoa, Paul K. Takamatsu, David L. Becker, both of Honokaa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
